Ingrid Burton
I am a retired teacher with 25+ years teaching all subjects gr 4-8. I believe students learn best when they can follow their questions and interests. I teach with a variety of strategies to benefit different learning needs and styles. I have experience as a special education resource interventionist. We will have a STEM focus. Students will be expected to complete science or engineering projects as well as a personal interest long-term project. Support will be provided. Families MAY be asked to purchase specialized supplies for these projects. I believe education is a partnership between guides, parents, and the students themselves. Communication and positive interactions are essential. I am always willing to listen. I am a mom and grandma to 4. I have lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I enjoy reading books, walking my puggle, and playing Pokemon Go. Life is best when it is balanced.
