I founded PHM Academy to offer the support I struggled to find. As a foster parent to four children, I faced repeated school calls and suspensions for trauma-related behaviors, often without meaningful help. I created this school so children feel understood and parents do not feel alone. Two of my foster children were not speaking when they came into my care. Today, both are speaking and doing well. Their journeys taught me patience and the importance of individualized support. Developing communication can be a long, gradual process, and we celebrate progress at each child’s pace. We serve children with autism, specific learning disabilities (SLD), and behavioral challenges. We provide therapy and welcome outside therapists to help coordinate care. We empower children with practical life skills that build confidence and independence, alongside learning and communication. Our faith guides our mission. We believe in prayer and the power of Jesus Christ, alongside compassionate care and professional support. My goal is to partner with families so children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow.
