Hello! I’m Brenda Williams — a mom, passionate educator, and lifelong advocate for meaningful, child-centered learning. After 14 years in the classroom, I’m excited to open Rooted Learning Academy for curious, open-minded students and families seeking to deepen and expand their approach to education. As a reading specialist, I am passionate about helping students close achievement gaps by building confidence, nurturing motivation, and unlocking one’s unique potential. My practice blends strong academics with creativity, hands-on learning, practical life skills, and real-world experiences. As a certified children’s yoga teacher, I also incorporate movement, mindfulness, and social-emotional wellness throughout the school day. I believe children thrive when learning is joyful, purposeful, and tailored to their individual strengths and interests. My goal is to cultivate a learning community that develops confidence, independence, critical thinking skills, and a lifelong love of learning. Rooted Learning Academy is located near the Seminole Recreation Center and Seminole Library, creating opportunities for meaningful community-connected learning. Scheduling/program structure can be accommodated to meet individual needs.
