I started with Prenda in 2022 to help my nephew who was struggling with the public school model. **Things I offer: In addition to core curriculum of reading, writing and math, provided by Prenda; included is art, games, science, social studies, gardening, other outdoors activities, etc., to make learning fun. Students get to have a say in some of the projects and activities we do to help them have an invested interest in what we are learning. *We live in a country setting with a large area for playing/recess and we do have dogs, chickens, donkeys, horses and sheep. *We plan a fieldtrip and/or fun, party day every month. *Monthly visits to the Queen Creek library. *Frequent mini breaks. *Flexible seating. *Small class size. *Recess. *Vela grant recipient for us to make a bigger, more compatible space. We LOVE our new classroom! I do have first-hand experience with Type 1 Diabetes.
