At Discovery Quest Academy, I guide students through the important middle and upper elementary years—where confidence, curiosity, and strong academic habits take root. I focus on the whole child. Emotionally, I nurture an “I can” mindset, helping students build confidence, resilience, and a love of learning. I prioritize strong relationships so each child feels known and supported. Academically, I provide a rich, engaging experience that balances strong foundations in reading, writing, and math with hands-on STEM, Socratic discussions, and Institute for Excellence in Writing. As a Well-Educated Heart–trained guide, I also incorporate poetry, art, music, and nature study—helping students develop depth, character, and a sense of wonder. Learning comes alive through simulations and experiential projects. Students don’t just learn concepts—they experience them, creating lasting understanding. Our days include movement, outdoor play, and opportunities for responsibility, while we cultivate a culture of integrity, respect, and ownership.
