Hi! I’m Karena Morrison, an educator, gifted-education specialist, and lifelong advocate for learners who think and learn differently. I’m a Florida-certified teacher with certifications in Elementary Education (K–6) and Exceptional Student Education (K–12). I'm endorsed in Reading and ESOL. I’m currently completing my master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Gifted Studies. I’m also a home education veteran of more than 25 years and the parent of three now-adult twice-exceptional children. That journey shaped how deeply I value individualized learning, family partnership, and environments where curiosity, confidence, and growth are nurtured—not rushed. As a Prenda Guide, I’m passionate about creating a calm, supportive microschool environment where learners feel known, capable, and excited to learn. Our learning is Powered by Prenda, blending child-led exploration, meaningful projects, and academic growth with a strong focus on growth mindset, emotional safety, and honoring each learner’s strengths. My goal is simple: to help gifted and twice-exceptional learners rediscover joy in learning and develop the confidence to grow into who they’re meant to be.
