Family First Christian Academy was founded by me, Ateshia Craig, and my nephew, Travis Curry, because we believe children deserve a safer, more meaningful learning environment, one rooted in Faith, strong values, real-life skills, and a hands-on learning approach. After witnessing challenges in traditional public schools—such as bullying, inappropriate subject matter, and students being advanced without mastering key concepts—we felt called to create something different for our family and our community. Family First Christian Academy uses a mastery-based approach, meaning students move forward ONLY after they understand the material every single time, every single child. At Family First, it is truly "no child left behind," and we stand by this core value. The school emphasizes life skills, strong academics, and Biblical values so children can grow spiritually, intellectually, and socially in a nurturing and FUN environment. We aren't talking about science experiences; we are DOING them. We aren't teaching about history; we go to the museum and witness history. The goal is simple: create a place where children feel safe, families feel supported, and learning prepares students not just for tests but for LIFE!
