Carly Hurt
I didn't always know I wanted to be a teacher, but I have always loved children. After beginning my college career with a major that wasn't a good fit for me, I changed my major to Early Childhood Education. My entire outlook on life changed at that time, because I realized I was living out my true calling. I graduated from Arkansas State University in 2006 with my BSE and again in 2012 with my MSE in reading. My first 2 years teaching were in the 4th grade classroom. The past 18 years, I have been in the 3rd grade classroom. My ultimate goal is to provide each student with a nurturing environment that meets their individual learning needs, ignites their intrinsic motivation, and instills a true love of learning based on their personal curiosities.
