As a native of Idaho, I didn't expect to love Arizona, but I am so grateful to have been able to raise my five kids here! I got my Bachelor's in Social Work from Idaho State, married, and collected five babies from four states on our southward migration to Arizona. I taught neighborhood preschools while my kids were small, and then taught as a para when they were in school. I have been a Prenda guide since 2020, planning to just do it during the craziness of the pandemic, but enjoyed it so much that I just kept doing it! My strengths in teaching are in creative writing, and we do a lot of that at Miss Jenna's. Students in my class learn typing, cursive, geography, art, debate, and do lots of games to help memorize math facts. Every spring we use Create Time to rehearse and put on a play for our parents and neighborhood. We also love our monthly field trips! Our science and history lessons are custom-tailored to what the kids want to learn, and these are student-led. Our class motto is Friends Learning Together, and we emphasize the friends part as much as the learning!
