Lissette Casares
Hi, I’m Lissette—a mom of three and former public school Pre-K Special Needs teacher with a Master’s in Early Childhood Education. With over 15 years experience in the educational field, I’ve worked across diverse settings, studied approaches like Reggio Emilia and HighScope, and supported learners of all abilities. Natural Wonders began as simple nature classes and has grown into a passion-led microschool. Our program is designed for children who benefit from a more personalized, meaningful approach to learning. In a small-group setting, we offer individualized instruction, mastery-based academics, and hands-on, project-based experiences that foster deep understanding. Children engage in daily outdoor learning, nature play, and garden experiences—encouraging curiosity, confidence, and connection to the natural world around them. We also integrate Concious Discipline components into our daily routines by helping children feel safe, supporting the development of self-regulation, fostering connection, and developing positive social and problem-solving skills. At Natural Wonders, we nurture the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally—creating a space where children feel seen, supported, and excited to learn.
