I am a certified teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, with Early Childhood and Structured English Immersion Endorsements. I have been an educator for twenty-eight years teaching preschool through third grades, as well as developmental preschool. I’ve always enjoyed working with the youngest students, so I’m excited to begin my seventh year with Prenda guiding a kindergarten-first grade group as we begin a new adventure in learning! We are the "Perkins Pack" (as I'm a lover of dogs!), and the main objective for our “Pack” is to create a sense of community where each child feels safe and happy in an environment that fosters growth socially, emotionally, and academically. Learning is fun and I want to cultivate curiosity in each student so that they become lifelong learners.
