Wife, mom, grandma and 25 year public school teacher. My passion is to empower all students to exceed expectations through autonomy, agency and access. The first 25 chapters of my epic educational tale have been adventurous and diverse, spanning 5 states and ranging from AP high school Spanish to bilingual Prek to self contained special education. These last four chapters has been the most pivotal in my journey. This is when I started to work and learn from students with complex sensory and motor function issues and my true passion and life calling was realised! Empowering students, especially non/unreliable speakers, to develop effective and reliable forms of communication so they can access all that the world has to offer through full inclusion is my mission.
