The Next Chapter

Hello and welcome! My name is Lori, my microschool is The Next Chapter. I have worked with children as a volunteer through several community programs and homeschooled my four sons. I earned an AAS degree in Early Childhood Education and enjoyed my work as a preschool teacher for four years. I love the Prenda learning model because children are empowered to set goals, problem solve, collaborate with one another, and express creativity as they put into practice the Prenda Core Values. It's been a joy to see the children's growth! This year, I will be guiding children in mastering academics, learning critical thinking skills, developing social skills, and providing opportunities to study subjects of interest. I am looking forward to the availability for field trips where we will explore and learn outside of the classroom. Parents will have several opportunities, and are encouraged to participate in school activities. Student led presentations will be held throughout the year. Families will be invited to support and recognize their child's commitment to learning. The 2024-25 school year will be my fourth year as a Prenda Guide. I am looking forward to meeting you and discussing your child's academic journey!
